Registration is now open for Toronto FC's Winter Youth Program. The sessions will be based at Lamport Stadium (1151 King St. W) and will run for six weeks starting the week of January 18, 2010.

This is the second Toronto FC Youth Program after a successful launch earlier this year and it is designed for players of all levels of ability. The Youth Program is the first phase of Toronto FC's Player Development strategy and has been created with age-specific training in mind. Camps will teach the fundamental soccer skills with an emphasis on fun. Players will be encouraged to experiment, learn the basics in order to feel comfortable with the game, and will be placed in an age bracket that challenges them.

Academy Manager Stuart Neely and Academy Senior Team Head Coach Jason Bent will lead the sessions along with other staff members. "The success we had from the summer program and the great reviews from the parents was a big factor in deciding to run another program this winter. We will split the daily training up over the course of three or four hours with individual sessions geared towards specific topics that will include coordination, technique and even tactical training which begins at one-one-one."
