A fan favourite, Danny Dichio continues to be somewhat of a legend around BMO Field. The "Big Man" made a charge for the team's Golden Boot Award for the second straight year but fell a goal short to teammate Chad Barrett. A concussion suffered 07/01/08 in the Nutrilite Canadian Championship match against the Vancouver Whitecaps kept Dichio out of the lineup for a number of games during the second half of the season. Dichio's absence was missed and prompted the club to look for extra cover up front. Whether he is in the lineup or not, supporters at every home game and if they're in the stands at an away game; continue to sing his name religiously in the 24th minute of every game to mark the club's first ever goal.
