A strong defender who has cemented his presence in the heart of both the Galaxy and the Jamaica National Team defenses over the last five seasons. The Galaxy's Defensive Player of the Year in both the 2004 and 2005 seasons, Marshall reached the 200-career games played plateau in his final game of the 2006 season. Of those 200 games, 117 have been as a member of the Galaxy, making Marshall one of the club's longest tenured players and undoubted leaders.

Marshall has been a fixture on the Jamaican national team since making his debut in a friendly against Romania on May 17, 2000. He has made 59 appearances for Jamaica in his career and has scored twice, including the game winner against Trinidad and Tobago in the final round of the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He also held a spot in the starting eleven during qualifying for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
