O'Brian White was selected in the first round, fourth overall by Toronto FC Director of Soccer Mo Johnston in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft. The forward comes to Toronto with a formidable reputation. He won the highest individual honour in U.S. collegiate soccer in January 2008 when he received the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy as the National Collegiate Athletic Association's most valuable player. White scored six goals in 14 games in 2008 before suffering an ACL injury in October that ruled him out for the rest of the year.
